What is yoga and its benefits

The word 'yoga 'comes from the sanskrit word yuj, which means 'yoke or union' it is believed the practise of yoga can lead to a balance of body, breath, mind and spirit.

Yoga can benefit everyone, whatever your age, ability or experience. Yoga is non-competitive and is a unique way of exercising. You don't need to be flexible to do yoga there is a level for everybody in my classes. Yoga is about learning to listen to our body, accepting and noticing how we feel each time we come to our mat.

The benefits are immense both physically and mentally, helping us to deal with the stresses and strains of everyday life.
